I too am having a bumper summer Raspberry crop, and three pounds of Strawberries in a 8×2ft raised bed. Cucumbers are doing well and the Sunchocola cherry tomatoes are just starting to ripen. Also picked the first Beetroots.
The tomatoes are doing their usual mind trick on me, and are slow to ripen. It's just I'm impatient , they really aren't due till end of month. The Tigerella grown from seed are much further along than the shop bought plants last year. The new Pomodoro are getting quite large, but the picture doesn't show it well.
I think most of us are in the same situation @purplerallim. Interesting on Beechgrove garden they are talking about various varieties bred to mature more quickly, can't remember the details but it will be on the archive programmes, on i player.
This year my garden is a wild life refuge. At least,, that is my excuse and I am sticking to it! I have about 8 pea pods on my pea plants. yeah! Be grateful for small mercies.
Re: Beechgrove and tomatoes , they initially talked about this much earlier in the season when they were planting. In the recent episode there was only a passing mention, that they were waiting to see how the plants performed.
