Allotment Boy , so easy to wind up people who stick to rules , only do it sometimes, I known I shouldn’t but if they irritate me , I can’t resist it 😉

GWRS & Gardengirl No the problem with this guy is he is flouting all the rules big time  site neighbours are complaining about fire smoke, noise, & all sorts of coming & going at all hours, we are supposed to be self managed but if Council do step in then I fear it will not go well for any of us. We are potentially a prime building plot!

Allotment Boy I know what you meant just talking about one our site reps, sounds like a right pain - with this virus going on it is making more people want to grow veg so allotment are well wanted - so hope your site would be safe and stay

A house neighbour had a lot of trees cut down today by same person as before so we got offered the chippings so got them took to allotment and dropped off near plot, so tonight I was moving lots of chipping some to 2x 1 tonne bags ready for my new paths when finish digging and some put on the paths and bit given to the chickens for the run area some bits were leaves and some more shredded than chipped but good to get it free, loads left in carpark will get a bit more then give away some

Really need to harden off some plants was more like a sauna in plastic gh today

Went back to work last week so can't get to plot as often. Been going to water though.

Planted out loads last weekend, then we had a frost mid week, luckily only a few dahlia's were blackened, will they regrow or have they now died?

Cues are beginning to germinate and courgettes are ready to harden off, I need to think about sowing more lettuce and other quick growing veg as those planted out in March/April are ready to be harvested and gaps will need filling

Gone back on a phased return GWRS, so 6hr days next week, can't wait to retire :) but still away to go yet.

Blowing a gale today but went down to the plot to plant out and prep beds. Main crop pea's, cosmos, broccoli, dill, and more flower seedlings. Lettuce are ready to pick, brought a couple home along with rubarb and asparagus.

A bit disappointed with asparagus, it's been in the ground at least 3 or 4yrs, and never produces much.
