@Gardengirl.. It’s good to know that the waiting list is a lot more dynamic than what they appear. I will put my name down for as many waiting lists as possible. Wish me luck :)

Good luck @celcius_kkw B) where abouts are you?

Went to the allotment today and some sheds had been broken into over night after 9.30pm as we were finishing up with the chickens going to bed, lucky nothing took from my plot as not finished front building of shed so plastic still covering it
Had to go shopping for chicken stuff all got for a while now
Finally got some beans to grow they are showing up -  did not know if they were going to as they are saved seeds

@Gardengirl.. I’m in Liverpool. Sorry to hear about the break in.. there’s been quite a few reports of break ins during this time of crisis in the news.. what a horrible thought of people taking advantage of the lockdown.

Sorry to hear about the break in's Gardengirl,we had some break in's last year, it was suspected to be a plot holder as certain sheds seemed to be targeted  for power tools.

We have a forecast frost, temps expected to drop to 2 during the night, sweetcorn was planted out a few days ago along with more lettuce and the dahlia's are starting to come up, I can't cover everything so will just have to hope and pray.

Gardengirl , sorry to hear some sheds broken into , so annoying

Real icy wind today so no jobs in garden or allotment
instead repainted lounge wall , we had a water stain down the wall just before lockdown but decided to leave it in favour of jobs outside

I’m wondering how plants will fair at allotment as well

    Stay safe

Thanks all lucky no shed finished yet, think they did not go for much as a lawnmower just pulled out of one shed not taken
Is getting more windy outside - done some clearing of a border and planting in garden today finally got some plants in ground been sitting waiting for a long while, nice they are now in the ground just need to keep watered now
Not sure but think this way south it will only go to 4 or 5 degrees think in some places there was a frost in the middle of the week just gone

Got a session in this morning before the cold wind came but temp was dropping fast as I came home.
I can confirm what has been said re waiting lists. What tends to happen is there is a list, and often there is not much movement for a while. Then suddenly several plots become available for one reason or another. When the society contacts all the people on the list to offer plots they tend to find many have changed their mind or circumstances so you move up quicker than you might imagine, be patient it will be worth it.

Too cold and windy to be out today.
Took some photos of my potatoes. They seem to be racing ahead.
    My pentland javelin earlies

    With a side of raspberries.
    And my main crop Markies

Both have been earthed up a few times ( the bags started less then half full, but are now full) and the lates have hardly any more room. Goodness knows when they will be ready as I am sure they are further on this year. Both planted 17th March.

Sorry to hear about the troubles @Gardengirl..  :/

Yesterday was a bit odd, started off really hot, by the afternoon we had the freezing NE winds. Cold and windy again today, so staying in, but took some photos

We've started to earth up tatties, they are a bit behind yours @purplerallim !

    New compost bins

Peas starting in propagator, sweetcorn is coming out when it warms up a bit, outgrown the propagator now.
