Loved it.  Lots of interesting stuff and new bits and just great stuff.

  • I loved it too - in particular, Dan Pearson's garden was inspiring and beautiful.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Tonight's episode was wonderful!

    That is all. 🐈
  • Hurrah for once everyone is happy...watched whilst stuffing my face with homemade pizza 😂 it was good and the pizza even better.

Fox blight! Hats off to that cove.

One of the best episodes in ages. I didn’t think I was going to be interested in air plants or Thai food but the three gardeners were knowledgeable and engaging. Though I loved his garden I thought Dan Pearson’s commentary was a bit ‘chewy’ but the rest of the programme was excellent.

I only saw half of it as the T20 was good viewing but will catch up later. However, I liked what I've seen so far bar the 'waffle' in Dan Pearson's section. I hold my hand up - I'm not creative and just switch off when folk start talking about gardens like modern art. Wouldn't want him designing my garden if he did bugger all for the first 5 years either!  :D

  • I loved the part with the Thai lady and her impressive vegetable garden. She and Frances should present together, they had such great chemistry.
And of course, Frosty and his garden - such a pleasure to watch. The black cat at the end - adorable  :)

@BIglad - agree about the waffle but was also reassured when Dan said it took him 5 years to plant anything.   We moved here nearly 4 years ago and the weather patterns have not been as advertised when I researched average temperatures, rainfall etc.  When we went to dig new beds we found volcanic schist, clay, sand, buried rubble from demolished farm buildings...........

We had to get a man with a bulldozer to come and clean out the crud in the terraformed pond and he'll have to come back again to empty out the area where some kind soul buried an entire barn roof's worth of terracotta tiles.

I've got some of my pots from my last garden planted only this year and there are many more still waiting for new beds, mountains of horse poo, pergolas.  Getting to know the soil and conditions in a big new plot can be a slow process.

    Dan Pearson's garden, BEAUTIFUL.
He is currently doing a lot of work at Chatsworth, which is local, so I see it fairly often. I have very high hopes.
How can you lie there and think of England

  • Ok so I'm clearly a stick in the mud, the episode was a huge improvement on last week but once again 2 of the segments were very recent. The Thai garden and the air plants were both  run just 2 years ago I think, surely they can go back further ? Don't they have any sections with Carol, Rachel or any of the multitude of presenters they can add in. Adam is a great presenter, mind he must go through jeans at a rate of knots as he spends his whole time on his knees in the beds.
