I didn't enjoy Clockwork Orange.  It was banned in Manchester so I went to see it with a group of fellow students in a cinema in Salford that usually ran a mild porn programme.  Lots of funny little men in macs and rather insalubrious.

What is it with houseboats? I think that's the second one in only a few weeks.
On the plus side, I took myself out for a trip up to Breezy Knees today. Enjoyed it immensely, I'll definitely be going again.

Talking about long handled things, I bought myself a garden hand fork with a long handle. The small fork not the standard garden fork. Very handy. I don't have to bend so much. I have planted bulbs but not enough to spend that much money on a long handled bulb planter at that price.

I'm trying to be positive as Mr B says I'm a grump so I will say that the prairie garden was lovely even with the bold colours which are not normally my thing. Do newts even need a ladder? Isn't that In case a hedgehog falls in?

I thought it wasn't a bad episode. The Newt I found a bit souless and Mark Lanes report on the garden on Oxfordshire I found dull but the rest was OK IMO.

I struggled through to the end and went to bed.

  • Quite enjoyed last night, The Newt garden I liked as it was quite different to most we see, also liked the small section on the Worcester garden looked how I'd like my tropical area to be (it certainly isn't going to be there in hurry either 😭😭). I do think we should be seeing more gardening in either Monty's or Adam's garden, these sections seem to be getting really short. I'll be clear here this is down to the director and production teams, Monty has been on record many times saying that he is the presenter and is told what they want and has no control on the editorial input. Bigger segments on planting, designing or how do with less of the very small segments would be better. Anyway I did like it and continue to look forward to Friday night and dread the long winter without it 😭😭
