    You have beautiful roses, Marlorena!
Do you mind saying which roses grows well in your shade? You mentioned some time ago about your shady rose border.

@evelin... thank you... nice to see you here too !.
These are the roses I have in a shady border.. the shade is caused by my property blocking the sun, not by trees or large shrubs... it is otherwise open... but north facing..
They get a little sun first thing, less than 1 hour...then none at all until about 3 pm from May to July... virtually none at all the rest of the year..
I have put in brackets where these roses are normally sold... they are all blooming really well for me, even the new ones..

    'The Poet's Wife' [Austin]
    'Forever Royal' [RV Roger]
    'Lolabelle' [Trevor White]
    'Gabriel Oak' [Austin]
    'Scented Garden' [Style Roses]
'A Midsummer Night's Dream' [Style Roses]
    'Comte de Chambord' [many nurseries]
    'Burgundy Iceberg' [many nurseries]

From my experience, most shrub and floribunda roses will grow well in these conditions... .I would not grow hybrid tea roses there... they demand more sun and would not perform well..

'Minerva'.. sweetly scented.. prone to blackspot.. but my dog dug up the one I had, so I just got two more.. this time I'm keeping them in pots...
'Lady Salisbury'... no scent..good foliage, but not a very exciting rose if I'm honest..
'Wild Rover'... this was a cane with some rootstock I ripped off my other one... it's doing really well..
'Gabriel Oak'... I love this colour and sweet scent...
more Gabriel.. this is really going to stand out in the garden when larger..
more Chandos Beauty... this rose is just exquisite..

..whatever happened to summer?  totally different to last year, but it's more a normal year I think... one day of heat due soon, 30C likely... I look forward to that and will do absolutely nothing in the garden but drink shandy..

'Bathsheba'.. nice blooms on a quite unruly climber.. for a fence or wall, not arch I think..
    'Chandos Beauty'... just beautiful...
    'Absolutely Fabulous' with Phlox 'Barfourteen'...

Hypericum 'Magical Beauty'.. with roses and Orlaya..
    Hemerocallis 'Radiation Biohazard'...
