@Purplerain, today's Herald says that a "pitchfork uprising" has been sparked among devoted fans.

I don't see the point of the new channel either.

@Joyce21, your post just popped up as I happened to be online, and it was easy to find because you gave the exact name. Had you not, it would have taken longer.

I don't like the pitchfork reference - implies an ignorant, senseless mob rather than people who are justifiably angry and upset about not only the loss of programmes they had  expected to see, but also the underhand manner in which it was done. And anyway, wouldn't a border fork, or perhaps a Dutch hoe, be more appropriate ;)?

I have signed. I think the BBC has forgotten what it was set up to do.

I can sense a pitchfork uprising or a border fork uprising on this thread now @Joyce21 😀. Thanks for the link @LG_.

I've signed too, there should be more gardening programmes, not less!

I suspect there are very few members of the general public nowadays who could pick out a pitchfork in a parade of forks, let alone have any idea of how to use one 🙄

Those of us addicted to Midsomer Murders know exactly what a pitchfork looks like Dove  :D

Edited to say - e-mailed PofV and signed petition, what are these broadcasters doing?
