Well, that will change some dynamics but not, I hope, the quality. I wish him well. He's been brilliant at communicating the fun of gardening along with the how and when.

I did wonder how long it would be as he's in his 80's now and looks to have been getting a bit wobbly on his legs the last couple of seasons. I hope that he enjoys his retirement and comes back every now and again for a star appearance or even the odd roadshow where his humour is always evident. Good auld Jim lang may yer lum reek!
