I see there is an article in the Sun this morning about BBC Scotland, and it's lack of viewers. I think it is a follow up to a story in the Scottish Mail on Sunday. Needless to say the BBC has come up with excuses as to why some programmes (21) had no viewers at all. Some were after 11pm when all channels have a dip in viewing figures, so presumably they don't take iplayer viewing figures or recording figures into account. It cost 32 million pounds to set up, which to the BBC is like loose change. This sort of thing makes me fume, especially when they have a popular programme like Beechgrove and take it off the air !
Rather oddly worded post on the Beechgrove FB today:
"Thank you for all your comments, they really are all appreciated and all taken notice of by the Beechgrove team. BBC Scotland is aware of all your many views and of the petition. Please bear with us, we are waiting for confirmation of timings from BBC S but we can say that Beechgrove will be back at the end of July. In the meantime it is still the same team who make Beechgrove who are also trying to bring something to you rather than nothing, in the form of posting some topical advice.
Starting with a little timely Jim archive on tomatoes."
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
Good to see that they are acknowledging the strength of feeling against this bizarre decision...but all very mealy mouthed, as expected. Let's keep on the pressure

This reads to me as "The BBC have ridden roughshod all over us but we are not giving up".
Let's see.....
