I enjoyed it too, knew l had missed it but hadn't realised just how much ! Chris Beardshaw's section about the rose care and black peppermint was very interesting, he has a good way of explaining stuff. There did seem to be a nice "vibe" about it, particularly the cucumber tasting at the end.
Beachgrove's back with no explanation why it was taken off I hope it is back for good this time. Loved the carnivorous plants nice to see something different.
I watched Beechgrove today and enjoyed it much more than the first couple of programmes. They seem to have gone back to the old format and no more 'Generation Game' segments of creating wreaths etc.
Another enjoyable episode l felt. Don't think l would attempt the pruning as l certainly don't have Chris Beardshaw's eye! That park in Edinburgh was absolutely stunning, my jaw was dropping all the way through. Such a transformation and good to see the youngsters getting involved. I like the way that the different plants mentioned are named on screen so that viewers can make a note. If this programme is taken off air it will be a disgrace.
Pieris grow like Chris's image of mashed potato here as you know @Joyce21 and I often wonder if anything can be done with pruning. Not sure that I could do it as well as Chris, but at least we know we can have a bash at it. Loved Saughton Park and it takes away the image of Saughton Prison. Very enjoyable episode.
Really enjoyed this episode tho not so much the grasses garden. I find them dull but the rest of the programme was very interesting and it's good to see Mr B wielding his secateurs with intent. I shall be sharpening my secateurs and loppers and going out to play myself this weekend.

I think CB being there made a big difference.
