I got 2 nice roses delivered today from David Austin... 'Lady of Shalott' which I had before but lost due to a move.. it was too slow to recover so I got another.. and 'Dame Judi Dench'.. both similar colours .. I like these apricot orange types from Austin.. ..makes me laugh the height and width.. 4 x 4 for LoS?.. 12 x 6 more like, if you grow it against a wall or fence... I'm not sure I could ever keep it to 4 x 4...
..Dame Judi is rather thorny, some really big ones... bit scary when I first saw it, so be warned about that... but I do love the rich colourations on this rose.. I also found it has a tarry scent but that may change..
..really good potted roses as you want for the prices... good healthy and vigorous plants.. amazing they get such growth from 6 ltr pots.. Dame Judi..
Thanks @Marlorena for the advice re Autumnalis. Think I am down to a shortlist of Allen Chandler or another Morning Mist, just need to think through which colour I want there most or whether I can fit both in 😋
I like the the look of Generous a Gardener in pictures but when I saw it in the David Austin garden was disappointed. We always seem to go after really rainy weather but very useful for seeing which roses cope better with the wet. If memory serves me it was either that or the way GG flower fade that put me off?

..very nice Omori.. that's one I haven't got... but I should get it..
Here are some August blooms.. quite a few, I got busy with the camera on this lovely late summer's day here in East Anglia.. hope it's nice wherever you are too and all your roses are blooming away...
A Midsummer Nights Dream is absolutely gorgeous, @Marlorena, does the colour stay true in the sun? I have a Souvenir du Dr Jamain but his colour goes off with too much sun, but having moved him somewhere with less sun he’s sulking 🤔

..thank you... hope to see more from everyone ... I might be wanting Crown Princess Margareta too !... I have a space developing for that one...
@Butterfly66 .. mine is in part shade so it tends to stay that colour... when the sun gets on it, it goes a touch redder, but a striking shade... I've just ordered 2 more.. I really need a group of 3 with this rose...
'S du Dr J' does need a shady site from what I gather... I don't have it...
