No discounts as far as I know... I don't think they have any now until later in the season...

@Eglantyne   I know what you mean about dogs and roses... I've lost a few to mine... it's his garden really, I'm just the caretaker..

...what a beautiful doggie, and a lovely lilac too !..  I don't think my dog ever sniffs a lilac but he does daffs and tulips...

Sorry, Gruss an Tepliz again, but love the way this bloom is darkening as it decays gracefully:

Here’s the earlier pic for comparison:

    Good morning all,
I've been looking at the pictures on here and reading your advice and wondered if I posed an ID request, what details and pictures would you need to aid identification please?
    Many thanks

..as Eglantyne said, but also if you know roughly when the rose was planted, or where it was obtained from, would help too...

Hi @Marlorena, my sense of smell is poor, but yes, I could actually smell this one, yay!! Sort of fruity but spicy, I think...  I wasn't sure I had the location right for it, tucked away at the back of a border, now I definitely want to move it closer to a seating area. Just got to work out how that would be feasible, but still give it space to grow.

I’m so glad I took you up on your recommendation for this rose, thank you.

    Thank you Eglantyne and Marlorena
I'm in Suffolk. I bought the rose when I visited East Rushton old vicarage in I think, 2015 with my mother, Dovefromabove.
There is only one bloom out currently. I believe it's a climber, or that's what it's doing! I'll take some pictures when it's stopped raining. Thanks for your help so far!
