I emailed the BBC local news. I enclosed a few photos to whet their appetite.

Debs - how did you manage that?  I can't see where to post comments on their page.

Fidget - I hope the Beeb and the RSPB get on their case as well as the TPO people.

Chucking it down here and blustery too.  Not inviting at all.  I may just go and sort out my newest patchwork fabrics and the photos of the exhibition which was odd.  No central theme but disparate collections - modern stuff, antique quilts with some fab variations of log cabin, someone painting on stretched fabric then doing a bit of embroidery, someone else doing folded stuff and another who did very old-fashioned quilts and finally an American lady who did double-sided quilts........

They’ve been tree felling here as well, all along the lane , they don’t use a chain saw, they have a gadget on a tractor, OH calls it a guillotine,  it just chops through and leaves the jagged bit. Looks horrible, no thoughts for nesting birds.

Good work @fidgetbones - good to hear that there are folk who care enough about nature to go out of their way to make a stance. I hope BBC take the story.

There must be a rainbow out there as the sky is half dark and have bright with a shower just gone...

    Hope everyone ok.

Hi obelisk I just put up a post will check to see if it’s visible though as they may have deleted it. There is a facility to message them? Or email?

Maybe if we all messaged the company it would have an effect?

I can see both your posts Debs but no option to reply or comment on those or the rest of their page.

Just in from dance class - jive, Viennese waltz and Paso.  Good cardiac workout!   There's a very solid looking dark grey front looming in from the west.  Forecast says it won't amount to anything but the radar says it's going to be wet.

Have had a mail from SIL complaining about the forecast for their visit next week.  had hoped for sun tops but now has to bring layers.  I replied pointing out that they are arriving on May Day - a public holiday across much of continental Europe, leaving on VE Day - a public holiday in France and there's a UK bank holiday in between.  Course the weather will be dodgy!

its a lovely morning ... blue sky and white fluffies ... but we are promised much needed rain ... but we were promised some yesterday and that didn’t happen ...

Maybe we had your rain Dove. We had lots yesterday and the sky is looking very dark over Hosta's way at the moment so I think more is on the way today. The grass is growing so fast I'm scared to stand still too long for fear of becoming entangled in the lawn
