I hope you feel better soon, Pat. Do you have your own chickens or is it possible the Salmonella in eggs? There has been a recall of eggs in four states of Oz due to a rare strain of Salmonella .

Food recall Bridgewater Poultry is recalling various barn laid eggs and cage free eggs in ACT, NSW, Vic., Tas., and SA. The recall is due to potential Salmonella Enteriditis contamination http://ow.ly/skRe30o7U9Y  #FoodRecallAu #FSANZ #FoodRecall #SalmonellaSE

When we got gastroenteritis on the boat on holiday (half the boat went down with it), two Ciprofloxacin 500mg tablets worked wonders. It was amazing how fast they worked.

     Happy belated Birthday to Wonky.

    Morning all.

Hope it clears up quickly Pat.

Forecast was sunny periods but it's grey with a chilly wind. Hope the washing dries. I have plants to plant this afternoon.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Thanks Fidget. The tablets I’ve been given are the same ones.😁. Those chickens and eggs were all removed from shelves a couple of weeks ago, so I can’t see a connection there. The other thing is that Hubby and I usually eat the same things and he didn’t get sick. I suspect it was from a McDonalds wrap which I had but he didn’t. Unfortunately, you can never be sure.  We don’t keep any livestock any more, so can’t blame any chooks here.

That does sound grim, Pat. Glad you're on the mend, but do be kind to yourself. Look forward to 'seeing' you on here more when you are more recovered.

Glad you got some new baby cuddles, BL. Nothing better. Hope your DIL isn't feeling too exhausted.

My view today, while I wait:

Not bad. Cutty Sark ahead, river to the right. And a little warmer than it's been for the last couple of days :). Bow is in the building on the right. I've certainly seen some of the best my city has to offer this week.

Hope you enjoy your birthday weekend, Wonky. The garden's looking fab.

Hope you feel much better soon Pat.  My OH has a cast iron stomach so I can be wondering which end to pint at the loo and he'll be fine.  Guaranteed to lose 36 hours of hols in Greece and Turkey (sailing holidays in remote parts with "quaint" beach tavernas) so we stopped going.   Had a corker in Utrecht once too.

Yesterday it was -2.6C at 7am.  Today it was 6C so things are heading in the right direction but we needed to rug up to go to La Roche this am to run various errands.   14C now and the wind and rain have calmed down.

Major furniture upheavals for us this pm.   That'll be good for the various muscles and OH's temper but I'll feed him some lovely hake for dinner and he'll soon forget.

The garden is looking good Wonky.  Well done.

Hope you enjoyed your cuddle BL.  Does she have a name yet?  Tomorrow and Sunday aren't looking too clever here.  Hope it'll be warmer your way.

You OK Pdoc?  Moira too?  You've gone very quiet again.

Hope everyone has something good planned for the weekend.  Spring plant fair for me and a date with Tomato Man on Sunday.

Is Tomato Man a superhero,Obxx? He sounds like he ought to be!

I've got an OH like that. I'm not particularly prone myself, but I don't think I've ever known him to have a tummy bug. He doesn't really get ill, full stop.

It just occurred to me that my view above would probably be quite familiar to you - didn't you live nearby?

    Evening all.
Off work today so caught up on some jobs and picked little neiece up from school. I was very pleased to see they have a flower patch and veg bed in the school yard.
Chicken in oven now, smelling delish.
Hope all ok with everyone this Friday.

You snuck in there LG.  Great photo.  OH had a flat in Blackheath for a few years before we upped and bought a house in Harrow when the company closed the offices in Soho Square in favour of flipping Greenford.  Honestly!

Shattered now.  Been busy moving Persian rugs about the place which meant doing the  furniture hokey-kokey and cleaning floors and re-organising everything.   Trapezius held up fine but both knees are throbbing, not just the dodgy one.   One more rug and room to go tomorrow.

Tomato Man is a chap who grows heritage variety tomatoes using organic methods including growing them on in an unheated greenhouse and playing them classical music.  I have a Clematis Man in Belgium.

    How's Bow feeling about today?

I trust everyone has had a good day.     Hope all lurgies are on the mend.
