@punkdoc - It's very easy to overdo it, I'm at last learning to pace myself. Hope you're feeling better today. The jewellery refurb is a lovely idea. My brother's partner had a ring smelted down (if that's the correct word), made into a kind of gold ingot with the stone attached to the end, worn on a chain. It looks absolutely stunning. I'm sure Moira would love your design but do think like the others that she would probably like to be involved. Jewellry is such a personal thing.
Evening. Re the jewellery idea @punkdoc - totally romantic and gorgeous! You probably know what your wife would be happy with, but there is always that doubt that she wouldn’t want the original to be changed for sentimental reasons. I’m sure you can discuss your plan just to make sure it is the right way to go. I think it sounds like a beautiful and creative way to keep the memories but give the items a new life. Shattered from Monday chores and job application work, so off to bed soon - night all.
I think it's a lovely idea too, punkdoc, but needs to be designed together. I would prefer earrings but Moira knows what she'd like. Hope heart is OK at the moment.
I've spent 4 hours on my knees, digging, weeding, planting in flower beds. Bit stiff.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hope Mr Pat is ok for the next couple of days ......sending love and positive thoughts. Look after yourself too Pat.
Good luck with the job application AuntyRach - will you have to do an interview?
I love the jewellery idea too - my Mum did it with her Mum’s rings.....meant that they stayed in use, rather than in a box. But keeping Moira in the loop is a very good plan 👍🏻
Misty morning here .....driveway will be hidden by a mountain of compost when I get home this evening 🏔 😀
Morning all. Hosta Hugs to mr Pat too. Watched the last Race around the world. Some sportsmanship which had me in tears, other behaviour which made me seethe. hey ho, that's life. Loved the series and recommend it highly.
Thanks for for your positive thoughts Chicky and Dove. It’s all new and ahead of us, but at least we’re on the same page and positive support for each other. 😏
The temp has suddenly dropped in the last hour. I suspect we might get some weather later. We’ve decided to get some of Hubby’s Cornish pasties from the freezer and that’ll be an easy tea tonight. They are large enough that we’ll have enough on their own.
Good luck Aunty Rach, and take it easy Dove with the shoulder. They’re b’s to fix.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Thinking of you both @Pat E ... think you both need to take it easy for the next few days ((hugs))
@AuntyRach 🤞 😊
I did a bit of weeding and some planting yesterday 😊 ... still getting upper arm problems so I didn’t do it for very long. It’s a PITA.
