Silly me, forgot the tooth fairy.  My youngest grandson wouldn’t let the fairy have his, he’s still got them all!

Sorry about your man Pat, hopefully he’ll feel better soon, the symptoms do wear off in time.

Big hugs for Mr Pat (()) ......its a difficult journey but we’re all willing him on.

Today is all about mulch.  Shifted about a quarter of the pile and had to come in as I have got a stitch 😳. Hoping a lie down and a noodle on here will sort me out so I can have another go later.  And maybe a cuppa.  Here’s the mountain we’re moving ....

    Turns into this .....

    Very satisfying 😀😀😀

Crikey Chicky, that looks daunting. Lovely once it's done of course. I guess that's what you have to keep telling yourself.....

Glad to hear the poorly folk - Dove, Pat, Punk - are feeling a bit better today. Hope Mr Pat finds a way to cope with chemo.

I drink diet coke when I'm suffering car sickness - that's definitely the bubbles rather than anything else that helps. Never drink it (or the full fat stuff) from choice though. It's just bubblier than other bubbly things. For a more general upset tum, fizzy water and either ready salted crisps or water biscuits, generally. And slippery elm.

It's cold here today - cold wind - so I'm inside doing usual Saturday chores - laundry, bread making - and I've also made a vinegar cake. Never tried making one before and a bit dubious about the chemistry involved, so I also made some Fairings as a stand by, in case the cake is inedible. According to my recipe book, the Fairings will keep for up to two weeks in a tin. How could they possibly know that? Who can leave a biscuit uneaten for a fortnight?

It sets off the new leaves a treat, Chicky!   :)

Hi all!  Best wishes to Mr Pat, and also to Punkdoc - hope you're managing to enjoy your "light gardening" day.

Must go and see if the towels have blown off the line...

If you see my pillowcases billowing past, can you see if you can catch them for me?

Sorry, no sign of them, @raisingirl... and actually I'd put so many pegs in the towels that they're still on the line, though rather tangled...

Been faffing - fixing a new vertical bar for the shower head which was great fun as it's a plastic corner shower unit so getting the old fixings off was fun (hacksawed a bolt in the end) and the new fixings need a bit of bodging to secure the top..........

Then found the fixings for the new curtain rail in Possum's new room are too long to let the window open fully.  Oh said "Can't you put them either side of the window?"  Yes, of course that's what I'm planning, but I still won't be able to put the rail thru will I?  Doh!  Luckily, I have found short ones in my hoard of goodies but now the leccy screwdriver needs juice.

Wardrobe sorting then since Possum now has all the space in my old one and my stuff is split between the new bedroom and the other walk-in where I also have my fabrics stash.   It's all go here!

Had hoped to get in the garden and do some weeding today but not to be.  They've taken the dogs off for a good romp at an unsupervised beach.  I shall hang up the washing and go and check on my babies in the PT and then carry on.

Hugs to you and OH Pat.  Not pleasant but worth it if does the trick.  Did they give you tips on coping with chemo?  What to eat, when to eat, dealing with nausea and taste changing?  If not, have a scroll down here - https://www.ucsfhealth.org/education/coping_with_chemotherapy/

RG - what is a vinegar cake?  I like my biscuits a bit chewy in the middle so have been making oatmeal ones lately with variations on chocolate chips, dried fruit, peanut butter, pecans, cashew nuts.......   Yum!  OH took 35 to a golf tournament for his team of 6.  They left him one!!

Hope your stitch goes and doesn't turn into cramps Chicky.

It's a light fruit cake that uses vinegar and bicarb instead of eggs. It does seem to have risen - rather to my surprise - but I haven't tasted it yet. I love ginger cakes and ginger biscuits so Fairings - slightly chewy ginger nuts - are a great favourite. I do keep meaning to make peanut cookies, but OH eats the peanuts before I get a chance.

Think I've managed to track down all the laundry....

The mulched bed looks great, Chicky.

I've been weeding the middle bed. There are gaps, may have lost plants. Also thug plants have been growing into other plants when I wasn't looking. A mole has been busy in it too, causing destruction in its wake.

My OH likes smooth peanut butter, I like chunky. He's eaten all his and all mine and didn't put it on the shopping list.
