Evening. Healing vibes to all those under the weather. Shattered tonight - I feel that tea will be provided via a phone call and a knock on the door tonight. Just been out to rescue my bird bath - the top fell off! Possibly the magpies or wood pigeons? I noticed that new growth from Astilbes, Solomen’s Seal and Aquilegia coming up nicely, so glad it didn’t squash those!
Evening all! Back from my wanderings with Possum - Toulouse, Albi and Carcassonne. All beautiful and interesting with some stunning buildings and views and friendly people. We have walked our socks off, again and taken masses of photos which need sorting. Toulouse is already beautiful but is being "beautified" so lots of projects to clean up buildings, fix damage, introduce pedestrian areas with eco-greenery, tart up the cathedral and plant trees around it etc. There were some bits we didn't get to and this morning's plans were rained off so we may go back when it's all done in a year or so.
Well done to Liri and Bow for their endeavours. Get well soon Dove, Lyn, Pat and anyone else with lurgies. Good idea for a present Pdoc. It's years since I went to teh Savill Gardens. Pics please when you go Chicky.
New bed arriving tomorrow morning and then we'll be off to do our weekly raid on Leclerc too BL. Then a bit more re-organising ready for Possum's friend arriving on Saturday and, at last, some gardening weeds to clear, toms, potatoes and brassicas to plant and things to sow too.
Early night for me. Shattered.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Sounds like you had a great time Obxx .....Toulouse has just been added to my list 😀. Great to have Possum home for a bit too. Chicklet comes home this Saturday, and then we are at full Chick complement for a couple of weeks......Happiness 🤪😀🤪
Just potted up 15 delphinium plugs, but have decided to keep them in for the next couple of nights and put them out in the day. More minuses in the forecast til mid next week 🥶. I don’t trust my GH .....the next one’s having heating for frosty nights ❄️
Sister in Law has visited Kew this week. They are installing a new exhibition of glass by Dale Chihuly. It is on all summer, I must make time for a trip down there. Last time he came I had a bad neck from a silly p who ran in the back of me. I couldn't travel far in the car so put it off until the last minute, and they were taking everything down. I guess I won't be buying a souvenir, looking at the prices on the website.
I hope everyone gets better soon. I hate being ill. My grandmother on my fathers side used to revel in it. Yesterday I spent several hours at outpatients with Mother. Her operation didn't work. She has to go back in another eight weeks, then reassess, then possibly another go at it. Bonus is we got to see the Prof and he agreed she needs the cataract in her right eye done. Well its only been about three years since the optician said they needed doing. As I said to the Prof, mistaking the Deer at Chatsworth for Sheep isn't good really.
Great Aunt Sylvia is not well, and at 103 , they will not operate. Channel 4 are coming to have a party celebrating their Bafta, it will be on the TV in May.
Good morning all . I’ve just had my first ☕️ in three days!!! Innards are improving (but if anyone has a hot air 🎈 which needs re-fuelling they should send it here 😳).
Hope everyone else else is ok 😊

Wow, that's a lot.
Sorry about your bug, Lyn, hope it clears up quickly. I thought you were already slim, don't lose too much weight.
Friends to lunch tomorrow, been doing housework.
