Evening all. Hosta hugs to poorly peeps. 12 hours wasn't too bad, could've been a lot worse. I had the option of a 5 hour route which only had 3 timed deliveries. I thought I might finish this month's The Garden, but I was nice and let one of the other drivers have it. He's reading about Caesar's campaigns.
@Dovefromabove don't know if sarcococca is a genius thought but can't see any downsides to striking a few cuttings anyway.
@chicky Thank you for that pic - that tulip looks exactly like one I have and didn't know the name - thought it was maybe 'Lady Jane' but it's too creamy coloured and Lady Jane is pink and white. So it's probably 'Tinka' .
My arms have that familiar tingle of nettle stings that signifies a few hours of weeding done. I've been tackling a very overgrown rambler rose. I know it's the wrong time of year but it was a complete mess and starting to swamp the young magnolia so I'll just have to put up with fewer flowers for this year in the hope of better things next year.
Hope everyone had a peaceful Sunday

We went to lunch with Son 2 and daughter2 and family came too. So the 2 new babies met each other, but they were really more interested in sucking and sleeping! It was a cheerful family day.
OH left early for the pre-concert rehearsal. We've just arrived home, good concert, Brahms Requiem, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Ave Verum Corpus. Then there was a choir members and partners party. Lots of yummy finger foods and wine and orange juice.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
The babies look like babies, but not the same. Daughter's boy looks bigger and tougher than DIL's girl, but he is 3 weeks older. Hard to take photos, they keep screwing up their little faces, yawning or crying. And when they are asleep they look all chubby cheeked.

Ive been drying Basil leaves today. I don’t think the plants will last much longer in the garden with our cooler nights arriving. I also picked my first quinces from plants that I grew from a seeds several years ago. The kitchen smells wonderful with them slowly cooking.😛
i also noticed more sweet pea seedlings emerging in the pathway next to the bed they were flowering in last season.😡 Must get the energy to transplant them soon.
Punkdoc, hope your heart starts to come good soon. I was wondering where you were. Best wishes.
