I think a lot of the time the people making the calls are paid peanuts by the people running the scams.

The trouble is, some of the cold callers are poor b*****s trying to make a living but most of them are crooks.
That’s the problem ... as they see it they’re just doing what they’re paid for ... ☹️

Yep ... and they think that in the UK we all live like the Beckhams. The chap who phoned me couldnt believe that a member
of my family worked doing intimate personal care for disabled adults. He thought ‘only immigrants’ to the UK did that sort of thing ☹️

Different grump altogether - People who are "fashionably late" for apéro!   Why?

And why wouldn't they just come for dinner anyway?   Odd.

I had one one of those calls asking if I wanted to pursue a personal injury claim for the car accident I had (not) had.

I was very cagey but did not deny there had been an accident and kept on pressing the person at the other end to tell me the details of the accident. They kept on reciting some claims company and I kept asking how the claims company knew. To break the deadlocked circle I eventually told them that after the accident Prince Charles was fine but the Duchess of Cornwall was a bit shaken up. However, I added, Special Branch told me to mention this to no one and thus I wanted to know the source of their information.

They hung up at that point but I amused myself.

This is going to sound a bit facetious but I'm actually serious - what are waiting for? For the cat poo to break down? Are you sure you won't get any, er, renewed deposits if you wait?

If it was me I'd (wearing gloves) scoop up as much of the contaminated soil as possible and bin it. Add some fresh compost to the soil if you need to build up the level a bit and crack on.

    And don't eat the flowers

    Fecesious?
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
