I've been booking GP appointments online for at least 2 decades in Belgium and now France.  Why doesn't the whole of the UK have this basic facility?
In theory you can in the UK too Obelixx. The reality is with my surgery that there will be one or two available, generally 3 or 4 weeks down the line.Â
Just another example of the shambles at my surgery, I have a hip problem and actually did manage to get in to see a GP on the same day. I was given the number to call to arrange Xrays and called them the following morning.Â
Very pleasant lady at the Xray unit asked if it was a hip or chest Xray I was referred for. Definitely hip I said, unless my hip is attached to my chest in some way. GP had provided all the details for hip but used the reference code for chest! The xray unit had to reject the request because of that. They had tried to call the sugery for clarification but they couldn't get through either.
I called the surgery to get things sorted and hung on the phone for nearly 15 minutes to get through to the secretary. Speaking for about 20 seconds and the line went dead so I had to call again and fortunately got straight through. Secretary checked and confirmed the error, but she couldn't change the code, it had to go back to a doctor. "Doctors are very busy and that may not happen today"! I finally got an appointment in 2 weeks time. After that I have to get back in to see the GP. Wish me luck!
Wild edges some cats adore catmint others ignore it but I would move it if I were you. Somewhere the dogs won’t be disturbed at least.Â
Good plan. I wonder if they'd do well in hanging baskets? At least they'd be up out of harms way then.
I got to bed at just after 12 last night after writing up my notes from some work yesterday. The cat must have come back for a sniff at 1:30 and even with the curtains closed the dog knew it was there so it must be sniffing loudly. He tipped over a few plants in his excitment so there was soil everywhere. Then the baby had me up from 3 till nearly 6. Feeling like a bit of a zombie today but I need to get that plant moved before it causes any more sleepless nights. And I need to repot the houseplants...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Not yet. I need to stop referring to the current one as a baby. He was referred to a specialist after being hospitalised with his teething problems last July and we've been waiting for an appointment date. We had a phonecall yesterday to say they're now available to take appointments but the earliest they can do is next month. It's a non emergency problem but I'd hoped they might have been slightly quicker than that.

Bless him (and you). He does seem to be making heavy weather of those gnashers. Hope they’re soon all through and that the next one doesn’t suffer as much.Â
