@wild edges , I put an old upturned hanging basket (chains removed) over all my catmint lumps. It stops the cats rolling in it so the crown survives. I don't mind if it gets nibbled every now and then but I do have a lot of it - it does well in our soil, much better than lavender.

I hate couch grass, sticky weed and dandelions!  I am rapidly going off Herb Robert and plantains - there, that feels so much better.  I was telling the robin whilst I was weeding but it started to feel a bit mad so I thought I'd just tell you instead.

Ditto @herbaceous but what about thistles?  I told my cat but she wasn't interested.

I'm curmudgeonly about TV programmes which start, then the opening titles , then back to the programme. I mean, WHY?
Don't even start me on the spoilers built in at the end of dramas " next time".

I agree with you there Hosta, and why do we need 5 minutes preview, can’t people remember what happened last week!
We just keep the remote at hand, wind on to the start of the programme then quickly switch it off before the next week bit.

I am extra curmudgeonly now as I am still not well and I have so much to do.  Feeling very weak not like me to have no ‘go’ in me.

sending massive Hosta Hugs to you Lyn.
It's not just the reminder of what happened last time, even GW starts ,then stops for the titles, the resumes. What is the point?

Another night another cat. A dark one this time so can't see a collar but I can hear a tinkling noise on the camera. It didn't seem interested in that patch of catmint anyway.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

It seems to know there’s a dog there that needs annoying 🙄
