I never switch the TV on before about 7pm ( Hubby likes Emmerdale )Â Daytime tv is pretty much "entertainment for the hard of thinking . Even when I've been housebound after surgery I've never watched any of it.
So how do you know that it's not worth watching? If you've "never watched any of it" you must find it hard to make a judgement! A bit like those who never read the Daily Mail, but feel constrained to criticise it unread! (For the record, I rarely indulge in the former, and never in the latter - which I refrain from passing judgement on other than being aware of its reputation).
Hmmm! I was there with Possum 15 months ago and found it very dull, dark, grey and heavy inside. Didn't like it. Much more impressive from the outside but inside no great shakes.
Still, it's an important building with rich historical associations and I do hope they can save most and restore the rest.
I think it was the stained glass that stuck in my mind, in particular the rose window. It's just that feeling of the centuries of history as we walked around - although you could say that about any cathedral l suppose.Â

Feel free to give me your intellectually stimulating highlights which I've been missing and I'll tune in.
