I am pretty sure that's why so much drama is shot at night. Saves on scenery costs. Give the actors a torch, fill the place with dry ice and you don't need a scene painter at all

“It's still magic even if you know how it's done.”
I'm annoyed with myself because my tiny Hosta 'Mouse Ears' has died on me in the greenhouse - I didn't water it enough and it is bone dry. Quite expensive one from the Malvern show last year as well.
I never switch the TV on before about 7pm ( Hubby likes Emmerdale ) Daytime tv is pretty much "entertainment for the hard of thinking . Even when I've been housebound after surgery I've never watched any of it.
So how do you know that it's not worth watching? If you've "never watched any of it" you must find it hard to make a judgement! A bit like those who never read the Daily Mail, but feel constrained to criticise it unread! (For the record, I rarely indulge in the former, and never in the latter - which I refrain from passing judgement on other than being aware of its reputation).
Feel free to give me your intellectually stimulating highlights which I've been missing and I'll tune in.
Well, intellectually speaking, I have actually watched some daytime TV and, frankly found it wanting. To say that it is dross is to understate it. But at least I have (recovering from Shingles - beyond painful!) actually watched it to make a judgment. 99% is beyond parody. (the 1% is the News, although I have to admit that even the news, be it on the News channel, Sky (really?) or the 1 o'clock stuff is an unedifying spectacle at best). So perhaps you will "tune in" to such programmes, and find at least some intellectual stimulation. Whatever you do, don't even think that the so-called mainstream will challenge even the odd braincell or two! Good luck - if you can cope with any of the daytime stuff, I take my hat off to you! Cheers! V.
Whilst flicking through the channels, I chanced upon the JK show. Not in the way: ' I found a copy of The Sun on the train's way, but really. It was about two overweight, intellectually challenged people who had undergone DNA testing for some reason. That's as much as I watched. How is that programme different from having a day out to see the lunatics in Bedlam? We haven't moved on much at all.
Good point B3 - there is an unedifying aspect to these programmes, akin to the comparison you draw with looking at/being entertained by the lunatics at Bedlam. Could be worse, I suppose - back in the day, people jostled for the best place in the crowd to watch public executions. We are at least spared that.
Personally we don’t watch daytime TV 📺 but a lot must other wise it wouldn’t be there Don’t watch that much TV of an evening these days O/H watches more than me

The test would have been to find out how closely related to human beings they were.
My previous car was a sporty Alfa Romeo and was insurance group 27, I've just changed my policy over to my new incredibly boring car which is insurance group 8 and they reckon it will cost me an extra £58 to insure it. That includes the £26 admin fee to cover a minimum wage person to type the registration number into a computer but still I was kinda hoping for some cash back on that deal
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
