They do repair them very well, obviously not driving for the conditions then.  They lifted two huge lumps of it off with a crane, that’s a lot of damage for a skid, should have been going slower.
I saw it on the local news last night, a big chunky Audi I think, so quite heavy.
@Lizzie27, I think they'd have said if the driver had failed a breath test.

What are the townspeople going to do Lyn, I don't remember another bridge?

If the driver wasn't drunk, he/she must have been stupid.

I wish there was an ebay for people who aren't taking the p**s. A galvanised water trough is about £60-70 brand new but bang in some dents and add some rust and people want £200 or more because it's 'vintage'. You know half of them have been nicked from some poor farmer's field too. I've got a huge one sat at my parents' place that won't fit in my garden and that's worth £350 apparently...
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

When Hubby buys something and says " can you help me with it?" when what he really means is "can you do absolutely everything to set this thing up, learn how it all works and use it exclusively in the future?"

Then there's the OH practically in tears surrounded by screws and bolts and empty little plastic bags and bits of metal and planks of wood with interesting holes and the odd castor. Inside the box will be a set of instructions.
Fortunately, I enjoy puzzles and cryptic crosswords.

BTW I was wondering if a crossword clue/share/ trade answer thread might be a goer.

Nuff said.  The muppet driving it probably thought it couldn't skid because it's an Audi.  Speed couldn't have been a factor as Audi drivers never speed, just like they always indicate before turning. :D
