How can I be anything but a M.O.G when the slugs have eaten my cheerfulness - and my lilies?

Gotta be better than skin-unfriendly towels @Lyn 😂

Whilst weeding, random what if... and I wonder why.... type thoughts pop into a my head.I

Today's is: I wonder if you can tell a person's political bent by their style of gardening. Does a kill everything that I didn't plant and everything that crawls gardener vote the same way as a laissez faire gardener? I left eco gardeners out of my equation for obvious reasons.I
Then I moved on to politicians and my theory started to unravel as most of them look like they'd get someone else to do it and take the credit or dodge the blame.

Please can we leave the politicians in the Buggerit thread, (although l get what you mean B3 :) ). I have spent the afternoon potting up dahlia & begonia tubers and discovered that what the supplier classes as 2 tubers, looks suspiciously to me like one of reasonable size and one very small one  :#

My wife persuaded me to take the day off as she fancied going to the Welsh Hawking centre. Given the weather I didn't take much persuading :# We checked the centre's website and it said it opened for the season on the 28th and had 2 daily flying demonstrations which sounded good. We timed our arrival for the first show but after an hour's drive to get there the road was closed half a mile from the entrance and a diversion was in place. Odd that they didn't mention it on the website... anyway after following the diversion for a good 45 minutes we finally got there only for a nice lady at the gate to tell us it was shut and didn't open until April 10th, she had no idea why the website said otherwise. Yes the road closure is annoying and is likely to last for months. Yes she really must mention that on the website. :| So we had a look around an overpriced yet mediocre garden centre instead and sat in several long traffic jams on the way home.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
