    👍🏽

  • Yes, thanks for sharing your experience of these plants Picidae, I live in hope that our Petunia's will return next year - the seed was expensive enough without having to purchase again next year.

Mine are coming on well. Some that I am hoping will trail are instead growing up, but imagine will go over sometime soon.

^ The above I am hoping to grow upwards to a few feet. Five plants are so. From small plugs - bought on Ebay. Planted 21st April.
  • Your plant is looking good @Fire and how I hope mine will develop in the coming weeks.  At the moment the plants are sending out shoot but I am nipping them to encourage the plant to thicken up as yours has done.

I didn't nip out much. I'm hoping to for height as much as bushiness. It's in the sunniest spot I have. I might attach string and see if I can train up to the shed roof - like a sweet pea.

I grew a lot of the red velour, seed and cuttings. Here's what they look like this week. All the petunias on the ladder are red velours from cuttings, they have just started their first blooms.

Sorry but I didn't want to start a new thread for a Petunia that I am really pleased with. I liked the picture on the Park Seed site so I ordered a several packets and grew them for myself and my customers. Opera Supreme, I just love them. They fit well beside the Red Velours.

Here’s an update on my Red Velour. It rained all day yesterday and it’s still murky today so they’re not looking their best.

    Overwintered without any protection.

Nice @Picidae. I thought mine were a bit late this year but looking at your March sown ones they’re about the same.
I sowed the Burgundy ones, all germinated so was pleased with that for 99p. 🙂
