Oh no disaster has struck 😝. I was battling with a patch of nettles, and the nettles won 🙀. Have pulled something in my lower back .....that’s gardening over for today 😳

Oh Chicky, what a nuisance, I hope it heals quickly. Thank you so much for the "no dig" gardening link. It sounds great. Think I'll start this afternoon. I have some fence posts so mark out with and some compost and manure, but I will probably have to buy some more compost. I used a lot and manure for mulching the long border and the end bed.

Rest and alcohol are the best treatment for a bad back, plus a bit of TLC from someone you love.

Ouch Chicky.  Hope it heals soon.    FG - watching my own paint dry thanks.  2nd coat of blush pink on the walls and the olive green and turquoise are very faint now.   Hoping to do the first of the warm cream top coats tomorrow.   Want to keep it looking light and bright as it gets no direct sun after midday and there's only the window in the door anyway.  Might do an accent wall.....

BL - I'm waiting for France Rurale to do their usual offer of composts at half price or 3 for 2 before I go and plant any new stuff but I did set 50 seed potatoes to chit today.  Never tried it or seen it in SMs or markets either but apparently Charlotte is one of its parents.   We'll see.   Still have Bintjes in the ground waiting to be harvested.  They'll be sprouting if OH doesn't get a move on.  I'll get him to that this week just to keep him away from paint rollers.

He keeps on at me about using up our produce so I shall do him some of our fartichokes for dinner along with Italian style chicken legs with a cream, green olive and walnut sauce.  Sounds odd but it does work.

That Italian style chicken sounds yum, Obelixx.

I've just come in as it's getting dark. Just spent 2 1/2 hours clearing up the veg garden. The dead runner beans and poles and tomato and sweet pepper posts have been in all winter. Weeds not too bad as I left the weed suppressant fabric down but weeds grew in all the planting holes. I haven't finished weeding it yet.

I think my fence posts won't be deep enough so I'll go and buy some planks, compost and bark chips on Monday. Originally the veg garden was 25m x 10m when the family were at home. Then I left a lot fallow and reduced it to 10m x7m. I've now marked out a 6m x 6m square which I'll put 4 no dig beds into.

That sounds like a decent size for 2 of you BL.  We still have some sweet peppers producing fruits in the PT.   I shall try some outside this year but also grow a couple of new ones in the PT as we eat a lot of peppers.

If you like I'll post the chicken recipe on Cook's Corner later.  Have to go and shower now and then cook   I can feel a glass of wine coming on.

Been doing the resting, and have now supplemented it with 🍷.  Mr C has been informed about the prescription too.  Many thanks for your knowledge and input 👨🏼‍⚕️....I feel that I am in very safe hands 😀😀😀
