    I am just going to try to go to bed, but I expect another night of tossing and cat napping

    I'm doing the tossing and turning bit. Any ideas on uses for stewed apple other than eating it as it is, or crumble?
    It also goes well with plain or raspberry yoghurt. Nothing too fancy. I'm not much of a cook!!

    There's loads of recipes for apple soup. I've never tried it. It sounds a bit weird but maybe it isn't.

    Apple butter … loads of recipes online. You can even make it in a slow cooker.

    We have three slow cookers - a really good one, a slooooow cooker, and a VERY slooooow cooker (me)!

    Make some tiny sweetened dumplings and cook them in the stewing apples. Delicious!
