Don't worry @plant pauper, l could have joined the party at around 1.30am.  I didn't realise the thread was back on the front page and couldn't be bothered to come on and search for it. I've bookmarked it now and have my party nibbles ready.

Could have done with a group of you two days ago, never went to bed in the end. Have been paying for it since, as can only seem to cat nap all night 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
  • When does nighttime start? And when does it finish? At what point is it still okay to be gardening?

I've been removing apples from the tree to lighten its load. I'm one of those people who hates to waste anything. So I've now got a couple of buckets of apples, which tomorrow, I'll cut up, stew and bottle for the winter.

Ah, just realised that I'm going to need more sugar. Something to buy when I go for the morning newspaper.

Wife thinks I'm crazy. She's probably not far wrong - but still eats the apple anyway. Apple crumble a huge favourite!! And to add to her morning cereal.

I could witter on all night, but I must give someone else a chance!!😳

Yes, I am with you on your night time jaunts.  4.30am for me this morning which I thought was quite reasonable - under the circumstances!!

And boy doesn't that head go round and round and round ..... @rowlandscastle444 ??
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

I don't know which is worse, the not going to bed all night ( Tuesday) or the three nights of cat napping since!

    😕
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Sitting here, after a good lunch, and my dear wife is fast asleep on the other sofa. Must be the combined issue of shingles pain and discomfort, keeping her awake when she should be asleep.

Shingles is one of the most painful of diseases,  and can last such a long time.
  • Thank you @purplerallim she's found out!

Shingles is horrible. My neighbour has had great success with local anaesthetic patches. They might be worth a go. I didn't have that luxury when I had it. Your Mrs has my sympathy @rowlandscastle444.
