I planted out a new Cyas revoluta (also known as Sago Palm) today.  It was pot bound in a little 5" pot when I bought it and within a week it set out these incredibly long fronds.  I've never seen that before, but I've never seen one so pot bound either.  So I decided I'd best go on and get it planted.  I have a huge one over 4 y.o. at other end of garden.I also potted up two Sedum spurium 'Fuldaglut' I've had a month into my rear garden.  Decided to start them off in pots so I can move them around with the sun in that garden.  Lots of overhead trees block sun there.  They were already showing a bit of their fall color in their original trade pots today. Can't wait until they turn solid red and start creeping over the edges of the pots.

I did some pruning today and made a couple of wreaths out of the bits 😁
How pretty.  I especially like the colors in the hydrangea blooms.

    That's very pretty @dancindufas :)
Planted the last of the foxgloves and emptied the last hanging basket. Also cleared out the window box ready for bulb planting. Dug out a hardy geranium, split into 3 and potted them up.
Sorted out pots ready for bulb planting and remembered to order nematodes.
We have a yellow warning for rain after midnight and l can see the cloud cover staring to come in from the West. Fingers crossed,  l am fed up of carrying watering cans about, and the plants really need it. It will be a shame to see this beautiful weather disappear though.
  • This morning the wild flower field was raked of all the cutting material that was scythed a fortnight ago - before the damper weather comes to ruin the cuttings.  Now bagged, with excess put to the side of the field to break down over the winter.  Also did the usual clean around patio (hedgehog & bird poo), cleaning water bowls etc. topping up bird bath, mowing lawn, picking and selling lovely Bramleys. With a stop for coffee, then lunch.  A good day.
  • Picked a few more Roma toms and used 4lb to make soup. As hubby is ill with a virus, he is really pleased to have soup.

Love the wreaths.  I've been planting Daffs and Crocus.  Had to move quite a few pots so feeling tired tonight.  Dug out the roots of a grapevine  I cut down last week and have ordered a Clematis Montana Sunrise for the spot.
