  @Lizzie27 we used old broken slabs and raised the area so that the iris plants were getting as much light as possible. The moss is no issue but we have to keep on top of the bluebells (they seed everywhere) and the never ending ivy. Good luck

  If anyone wants to follow my (wholly admitted) landscaping and horticultural ineptitude, I do have a blog.  I'm still struggling to create my gardens at the new house but I do update when I can, and I love posting before/after shots and progress shots.  I'll never have the gorgeous gardens I've seen posted here, but the advice I've received has definitely helped them not be too disastrous.

  Thanks @purplerallim , both myself and @Fran IOM are aware and have joined GC, and l'm pretty sure @Busy-Lizzie has too.
  @Valley Gardener is aware as well, l'm trying to think of any other names l haven't seen for a while.
  There are quite a lot of people on the Crafters thread who might not post all that often.
  
  Apparently an email has been sent out to everyone, but there maybe some who slip through the net.
