    Hello all been a while I did some strimming yesterday and today. GWRS The wind is very cold.
    Really liking all the buds on the fruit trees that are starting to show, I have a few daffs in flower been opening over the last few days

    Got home rather late yesterday evening. So lovely to see the sun shining in the garden. I WILL get out there today - but only to look.
    I promise!!😊
    No trowel, no garden knife. Maybe just an imaginary pair of secateurs. Maybe a notebook and pencil. Definitely a mobile phone, to take photos - and communicate.
    It all looks inviting. I'm sure I can see branches beckoning; twigs tantalising;

    Resist the urge @rowlandscastle444 😁 it might be the last chance to just wander and look as it's coming up to the busy time!

    Little and often after a stay in hospital. A lightweight folding chair is good for sitting and doing small trimming jobs etc. After my unexpected weeks stay in hospital, and being told I would not improve much when sent home, I have had to change my lifestyle into short spells of activity with rests punctuating any gardening. I find it very frustrating but Just have to bite the bullet and get on with it. No heavy lifting or humping of compost sacks etc.
    I am sure a little snip or two will not harm you, just to ease the itchy fingers syndrome we are all suffering at the moment. 5 minutes max. of effort then stop.

    Enjoy just looking at the garden @rowlandscastle444 and taking the time to plan the rest of the gardening year.
    No gardening today here by the looks of the weather but yesterday I admired my pots of miniature tulips and my new lightshade which looks like it should be in the garden!

    I'm not out in the garden today as, guess what, it's raining again!

    Hope you are now safely at home recovering @rowlandscastle444.

    Our main iris bed has been taken over by bluebells and ivy. So did a major weeding out so that we can now see the pebbles and the broken concrete slabs that the irises grow around. Sounds awful but these slabs have all come from our house/garden over the years and are covered in moss which we like.

    I'm just about to do another small iris bed @bertrand-mabel, when it stops raining!
    I was going to cover the ground with H.grit for drainage around the irises but you've given me an idea. Mossy slabs/pebbles are great.
