Well after chuckling about “waking the bears” yesterday… I was watching a fox having, what I can only describe as, zoomies on my lawn this morning! Bold as brass just zooming round in my garden!

    Hope all ok @rowlandscastle444

I had a pair of fox coming in all winter to clean up the crow kibble, but they've disappeared in the last two weeks.  Our local university just put out some research findings about our local foxes, and it seems they prefer to live in areas that see deep snow in winter.  The way winters are going, they'll all be in Canada soon.  :(

@rowlandscastle444 I hope you're getting better every day!  Any idea when they'll let you go back home?

Resist the urge, @rowlandscastle444 - the garden will be there when you're recovered and ready.  Your health is more important and you'll do nobody any good overdoing it.  Of course, this is coming from someone who never takes their own advice.  ;)
A sunny day between rain storms today, but I'm in the office so no outdoor chores to be done.  If the rain holds off tomorrow I'm going to tackle an area that's overgrown with bittersweet.  I'm hoping to get the old tractor up and running so I can start moving the winter's manure pile, too.

I hope any nervousness about coming home will be outweighed by home comforts and your own bed @rowlandscastle444. You go easy.

Actually, go easy everyone now we have started venturing out into our gardens! We chopped an old Holly tree down today plus a general prune and tidy in the front ‘garden’. OH did ladder and chainsaw work and I chopped and lumped the branches around. Paracetamol all round tonight!

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon pruning and feeding the shredder. Now got three old compost sacks full ready to mix in with grass clippings for composting :) . And a touch of backache :|
