Hello , back of holiday yesterday , as ever everything has grown
Cut front lawns today , back needs doing but had enough , hence looking at emails and a beer to recover
Greenhouse , so many cucumbers , really pleased , we grew the shorter one and skin not tough to eat
Tomatoes , none turning red yet
Having a day at allotment tomorrow

Here’s hoping the weather isn’t to wet , absolutely throw it down yesterday evening
    Happy gardening everybody

@purplerallim , hello , we where so lucky , went to o/h sister in Swindon , a day in London and  2 days in Oxford and weather was great
But the rest of the time it rained
In London went to see the Musical , “ Mrs Downfire “ which was excellent

I trust you are keeping well

  • My tomatoes are finally beginning to turn colour. Put some more slings on trusses. Blossom end rot on the Ozarks. One of my waterlily which has never flowered has its first flower, huge, very double white . Lovely. Agapantus all just opening, they have all done well this year, especially a very dark blue, black stemmed shorter growing one. Looks good amongst the paler taller ones.

@Joyce Goldenlily , hello ,I had a white and blue Agapanthus which didn’t flower very well last year so decided to split them and repot them having watched Monty do it on gardens world and pleased to say it has work with all 4 pots flowering

Cleared yet another path so we can walk down it. Collected a token number of blueberries and the last of the loganberries. Cut the hornbeam and one of the winter boxes.
  • They do enjoy a feed and some room to grow when in pots. When in the open ground they just enjoy the occasional feed and lots of sunshine.
  • Yes - my wife kindly clipped the pyracantha hedge. Due to the dampness and warmth recently, it has shot out in all directions. She was concerned children might get caught in the eye. She'd know, being vertically challenged!!

No. Non stop rain, heavy at times. Wish I had picked the last purple dwarf french beans yesterday!
