Digging out docks and brambles from the long border.  It didn't get touched last year, I estimate it will take two years to get it back to reasonable.

A glorious day here!  Planted out about 25 perennials that I bought yesterday, as well as a dozen or so foxgloves I sowed last year,  pricked out more cosmos and mowed the lawn. Fed all my permanent potted perennials and shrubs with liquid seaweed.

Dug out a shrubby salvia and geranium "Azure Blue" by the greenhouse so that OH could repair the wooden edging. Salvia had had it, but l split the geranium and potted it up. When OH had finished l topped up the soil level with used compost  and went back to potting up, and was very entertained by a robin fossicking around in the disturbed ground.
List of jobs isn't getting any smaller.

I just pruned the two shrubby Salvias on the terrace. They are getting quite old now but I just love the 'pow' colour of shocking pink.

Had a lovely 2 hours or so planting a yellow rose "Golden Anniversary" 4 new Salvias "Synchro Blue". Moved a lavender, dug up unwanted Poppies.....again! Topped up the Photinia tubs with gravel, and trimmed the variagated Ivy also at the base, time for the painted pebble ladybirds to take their place on the gravel. It feels very springlike here today in the valley.
Just counted my Salvias,at least 13,various but no pink ones.

Moved and replanted a Veronicastrum and planted a dianthus. Sorted through plants for a plant sale at the beginning of May and also for a local charity shop. Place looks like a garden centre, l shall be glad to see them all go. Still have another lot that should be ready by end of May beginning of June l hope.
Cosmos seeds l sowed at the weekend are beginning to appear. I really must prune my shrubby salvias in the front garden, l spotted a flower on the Hotlips this morning.

Today I weeded the main border - again. Seems to need it  at least once a week at the moment.
Then I started tying in all my clematis as they are growing fast.

Lined the pond after work today (benefits of working from home!) planted and filled it, just need to get some more cobbles for the edge, and another bag of pebbles. Noticed the bind weed has started popping up, so far only along the fence line, pulled up what I could but I think I’m going to put some wool packaging along the edge to block the light

@zugenie , I known a lot of people don’t like using weed killer but have you thought about it for the bind weed ?
