Horrible day here but went out and insulated the hedgehog house with bubble wrap and logs.  Still have bulbs to plant and lots of clearing up to do but no chance today.

Up early again (6am start) making the most of the daylight while I can. Added some half height pallets to my large compost bin and added a bin of nearly finished compost to it. Robbed some more grass, leaves and veg patch waste from the neighbours (bad news on this front as they are wanting to take me on compost production next year so lose a great supply). Dug up 2 large alchemila mollis and moved to the tropical area where they are going to form an alchemila mollis hedge. I have about 20 more to do. Cleared up leaves from some of the hostas and the Paulownia tree. Breakfast and of to proper work
  • Out in a waterproof to pot up some blueberry cuttings and then some hebe cuttings. Repotted the pineapple top I thought was dead but in fact has small roots growing from the bottom. Now retreated back indoors as the weather is foul.
  • Made an attempt to save one of the driveway trees that was blown over to an angle by the end of summer storms a few weeks back. Made a before and after video but will take a few years to see if the pruning will have helped it survive. Got some more pruning to do to help a few plants from getting overgrown and out-competed by vigorous neighbours but going to wait for the current shower to blow over first.

Moved 2 more alchemila mollis, moved a hydrangea out of my tropical area (planted before we changes the style of the area), pricked out about 60 poppies that are for the meadow area. Cleared some most decaying material and turned a bin of compost.

Potted up some tulip bulbs (Purple Dream). Bought a load of neglected Cyclamen Coum from a well known hardware store for a couple of quid - potted 'em up & they look better already - and on top of that got a nice wicker basket they originally came in which was a bit battered. Straightened it out, dried it out & will paint it for a nice indoor plant holder. Result.
As its forecast rain of biblical proportions here tomorrow, I may pop to the GC & see what plants are on "death row". I love resurrecting half dead stuff.

Done absolutely rock all again today. Nada. Nish. Nowt!

The creation in Noah's workshop is coming on though ;)

I'm a new convert to flora resuscitation @SydRoy This is my first attempt - 25p each. This planter is a temporary home as it was available and they needed to come out of the pots they were in. Purchased 8 days ago and looking considerably better.

I'm managing to get out early everyday at the moment and enjoy the warm mornings and get lots done.

Planted about 300 camsiassa blubs into the meadow area, I use a 5ft steel wrecking bar to put in holes and plant the blubs then fill in with a handful of compost.

Moved another 2 alchemila mollis and am now halfway down the little hedge. Cleared more fallen leaves and decaying plant material.

This evening I starting setting up the large garden lights we use in winter to allow us to go out in the dark. We do eat outside a lot with the pizza oven in use weekly and have even done entire roast meals in it.

Hello , managed a couple of afternoons when not raining
Cut down asparagus, that had now turned brown , planted 6 Dalias that where pot bound in garden , moved some ground covering geraniums that where getting out of control , cleared Hosta bed and put some more gravel down , the slugs 🐌 don’t like it
A few other bits as well
Looking at weather forecasts , probably now more gardening for a few days
