I planted two Nemesias in a border and the two tomato plants in their outside pots - they won't like the wind much but they've been hanging about too long waiting for some sort of settled weather. Then I had to dig out a honeysuckle which unfortunately was just about to flower - it had a tiny rootball compared to the above ground growth which I was surprised at. The fencing chap very kindly dug out (in a couple of minutes!) the large forsythia stump for me.

I like that @purplerallim, well I am eco as well!  I thought I was just mean careful   :)
Did two last week but I've been waiting for the ivy to grow a bit for the other two, forgot I hadn't finished 'til you reminded me.

It's out!  Thanks to my very kind fencing chap who hoiked out in minutes what would have taken me hours.  Moral - do not plant shrubs right next to walls - this is how large they can grow over years and yes, it was starting to push the wall over.

Your very welcome @herbaceous . I still have all the beds to do, as I've been waiting for the tulip leaves to die back a bit more. Have planted up the tubs to go out in the front garden.

Today have watered as usual, tried to save a limb from my rose( sat on by something and broken) by potting it up and done the toms.
Would you include using limes from the garden to make lime curd as gardening.😁

Sort of lol. We put the shed together and found the size they said the base should be was to small so this morning I mix up more cement to made it bigger. The trouble was I run out of sand so had to go buy some more and it was a race as to which came first me finishing the cement and getting it covered or the rain. I won :)

Logan4, a bit out of date, but I havent been able to do much gardening.  Treatment, (its De Quervans disease)  I have to wear a splint thing, with metal to keep the thumb straight, goes down the wrist, for 6-8 weeks, rest it, (then, the right one isnt quite so bad) ice pack twice a day, excersises, with a weight, squashy ball and elastic band, dont do anything that hurts, well, EVERYTHING hurts! washing, dressing, cleaning teeth, opening doors, turning on taps, etc etc.  then back, maybe steroid injections, last resort operation.  I logged onto to another site, see if anyone else had gone through it, its often called "new Mum thumb" , lifting the baby in and out of a cot however many times a day, they were all told to wear the splint at night, I have been told to wear it 24/7, they all said it took about 6 or 7 months to get beter.  Have had 3 frozen shoulders, could work with the pain and lack of movement with them, but have never known pain like this, and so little you can do without your hands.  Luckily, I enjoy reading.

I just had time to trim 3 box balls, annoyingly my Iseo then ran out of battery so will have to leave the box hedges for another day. Tried to level the patch where I plan to store the green bins - difficult to get level. Fences nearly finished and looking good.

Cut the grass (well OH did), weeded by pond on ‘the beach’ area - I like self-seeded plants on the gravel but not Dandelions or too many Alchemilla. Shame the Forget-Me-Nots and Aquilegia are over but hopefully they will seed for next year.
Loads of Aphids this year - mainly on my Rose and ‘the’ Lupin. The Lupin is going to be cut down (no flowers, slugged and now aphids) - I might take it to the Plant ITU if I feel any pang of good will.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Can understand your pain @Nanny Beach as daughter has similar problem. It been a year in which first it was your disease , then a past break, then no nothing to do with that. Now exploratory op (which was cancelled while in the hospital on a bed) She is still waiting for a new date. Hers has gone from pain moving thumb, to pain if the hand is bumped, to too painful to wear the brace and now pain shoots from wrist to shoulder if you touch her arm. Doing anything is almost impossible so I sympathize.
