Rained all day yesterday and now the garden looks lush. Potted up a hanging basket for the front of house, and replaced cucumbers that didn't thrive ( hope this lot do better) Played bumble bee to the toms and watered inside greenhouse. The mini Aubergines are in flower, and buds appearing on the peppers.

Planted new purchases and cut back the Euphorbia and did a bit of weeding.  Need to get the shears on the Pittosporum, not my favourite job but it looks nice when its done.

Planted out all the short pot marigolds, still got the taller ones to do.

Potted on the verbena bonariensis and the agastache "Sangria".  Yet more pots to wash 🙄 (actually l secretly enjoy doing that). Have put my tall dahlias back in the greenhouse,  2 stems snapped off in spite of being staked. This wind is a nuisance and l have just seen the forecast for Friday. Not taking any chances!

OH spent 2 - 3 hours sitting on a chair, camera poised, watching for an Emperor dragonfly to hatch only for the thing to do it and fly off whilst he was taking a toilet break!
Meanwhile I tided a patch of overgrown reeds in the pond, potted up more petunias grown from seed, sorted the squash plants, tied some cucumber plants to their supports, and probably a few other things too.

Bought some wood to make something for the garden came home and cut it to lengths. Swapped a pink Astilbe for a white one with another gardener and planted it. Just finished watering everything.

Went to plot this morning opened up polly and watered but that was it, had to take wife to enablement centre to get her new calipers and shoes fitted, so a little retail therapy and lunch at GC on the way home 😉
Decided to rest this afternoon sat on the terrace watching the yachts enjoying the breeze ⛵ , will go back later to close down polly tunnel and put everything to bed.
