I managed a frantic couple of hours of weeding after the rain stopped. I got rid of a huge patch of nettles without stinging myself once I'm still losing the battle in places but at least we're back to wild edges rather than wild everything.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Thank you @Hazel-1 It won't sell quickly. French house sales here, for period houses, are almost static. I've made a list of smaller, cheaper, easier houses, not modern, on Rightmove favourites and only 2 or 3 have sold in the last year. Mine is big, there are several like it for sale and they have been on the market for some time. The French buy modern houses on the edge of town, the English are worrying about Brexit.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Watered the veg bed and greenhouse. Tied up more toms as they are romping away. Tied up sweet peas as its windy here today. No good must do some housework today😠 much prefer gardening.
Today we have continued with the watering regime - just when is it going to rain - please tell me! We took the time to add feed into the watering can for the roses, clematis, flowering shrubs and a couple of young trees. For the first time in many years we are selling strawberries on our road side stall - the crop is good and there will be logans to give away or sell in a week or two time.
