Laid the base for the new shed with my son, did some weeding, planted a row of beetroot and a row of cabbage running out of space now to plant stuff. Watered all the plants and have just come back in for a cuppa and rest. Tomorrow new shed goes up.

Had a bit of a tidy under my large Acer - took out a scrappy dwarf conifer which was half covering an Azalea and pulled loads of ivy. Cut up a pile of twigs and branches for the Chiminea and put a net up for the peas. Had lunch and tea outside today - lovely.

Had open day at volunteer garden so lots of plants sold and got to enjoy the sunny weather

  • That seems like a successful day Gardengirl, even in the intense heat.  I sure a great many ice creams and cool drinks were sold too.
Not a very productive day here - too hot to water anything, too hot to do any strenuous work, so sat back and enjoyed the sunshine (under the umbrella).

Too hot for me to do anything until this evening, but OH is pottering about. Good excuse to watch the tennis all afternoon!

I'm trying to, got all my tools out ready to re-commence digging out the rockery bank, but's now raining hard, so have retreated inside. Thinking of putting an old umbrella up so I can work underneath - crazy or what!!
