Drilled drain holes, painted and lined the planters my neighbour gave me yesterday. Planted the bare root strawberries I had in them.
Just got a corner left in the gabion - will layer the inside with some rubble and fill it in tomorrow.

I felt ahead of the day at 2pm, now feeling everything’s got away from me! How is it going to be Sunday already???

@Wilderbeast it was sort of a happy conjunction of lots of rubble and needing somewhere to grow things while I wrestle with the rest of the garden.
For the man if your tastes I reckon only a hot tub gabion would do  ;)

@Amphibios that is indeed my kind of brew, the cost though puts Mrs Wilderbeast off 😭😭 maybe I should accidentally buy one without telling her 🤪🤪

    @Wilderbeast
I’ve watched hot tub repo man on YouTube. Apparently no one buys a hot tub - it’s not the done thing.
It’d be worth it just to see him come round and rip it right out of the decking single handedly. It’s amazing.

Personally I never think our weather is good enough for an outside Hot tub 🛀 but everybody is different . Where we went swimming had one ( in the good old days ) and always like using  it
Put up shading in g/h yesterday , obviously that caused the weather to change 😞
, looks like I’ll be painting the lounge wall today
Repaired front bench , one of the arms had come out
O/H put some more chick peas in pots as mice had attacked first lot and put them in main g/h
    Happy days

@GWRS that's why it's called a hot tub !!! I watered veggies that's it. Working in the house plasterboarding is no match for gardening

Started digging front, chopped and sawed my very overgrown c. Montana........tired now.  Deadheaded flowers, much more relaxing....

Dug up a clump of miscanthus, although it was easy enough to do it was too heavy for me to lift by myself so needed OH. He used a pruning saw to divide it into 4, but to be honest l don't really have anywhere for them and l've got 2 others already.  Will have a think, it seems a shame to throw them away, but they're too big to pot up and l'm running low on second hand compost.
Pruned sarcococca and tied in "Princess Diana" clematis.
Also dug up a big clump of crocosmia "Severn Sunrise".  Replanted some, potted some up and disposed of the rest. Also got rid of some Japanese anemone.  Filled 3 bags with rubbish soil.
Spread over 3 bags of recycled topsoil much to the delight of Scruff the blackbird who proceeded to help by throwing it around for me. Bless.
