I failed miserably at my attempt to dig out the bamboo that's taking over the top end of the garden.Cut back the ivy instead.Feel much better for being able to see some progress in my garden revamp.

It's been sunny with  bit of breeze to dry off the dew so I've cut the grass this afternoon, then trimmed the edges and did a bit of weed-pulling and cutting back. All in the compost bin mixed with some torn-up cardboard. There were lots of worms and woodlice in the top, working away at the veg peelings etc that I put in last weekend, so I hope they're OK with being buried with more stuff.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Went for a run in the park then moved two dogwoods, moved four lavender, planted 25 fritillaries, 20 more snowdrops, and 50 more muscari with my daughter, raked lawn, weeded

    Good effort @JoeX.

I went out in the light rain, mooched around various puddles that have formed in my freshly dug areas, felt the wind get stronger and the rain heavier, came back in ;). None of the new arrivals (currently in pots) have been damaged by the wind or rain yet, which I'm counting as a success against today's 'gardening' ;)

Daughter No.1 just got back from a walk - pretty drenched. It's grim out there :o

It is here as well @Biglad, gardening right off the menu. My daughter's currently battling up the M5, says it's absolutely foul. Trying not to worry.

More leaf clearing and of the moss kicked off the roof by the magpies, a daily task. Baited the rat trap with a choccy biscuit and cheese. Admired a beautiful blue Algerian Iris flower in the back garden.
