It works really well @AuntyRach as a screen on the bedroom balcony's it's not to aggressive or thuggish and easy to keep under control. We don't have any curtains or blinds at the windows as they are electrical opaque but the bamboo just acts as an extra bit of security even though were not really overlooked nearest window 70+mts away. They also sound relaxing in the breeze in the summer if you have a door open at night.

Divided an overcrowded Red Hot Poker this afternoon. It has never really got going, and I found 7 good rooted clumps which I have now divided into 3 groups, so hope for a decent display this year - I wonder........ Still trying to place my new rambling Rosie rose, pot too small, wall too low and been forbidden from growing up the side of the house ( will it really cause damp inside the room?) I don't think so - will have to work on that one.
What a busy lot you are today, it seems to be a race against time here, so much to do, not enough energy or time to get it all done.
Ooh, I've got Rambling Rosie, planted it last back end. Hope you find somewhere for it.
Grim early on and grim now, windy, cold and raining. Bit of sun in between but have done for the day.
Moved some of the shade border around, planted up last year but spacing wasn't exactly right. Moved some primulas that were in odd places.
Looks like some sprigs of a persicaria I planted near my pear tree have died. Maybe insufficient water last year but the two that are slightly uphill are ok. Moved in some polemonium and cuttings from lamium Picton and will see what happens.
Lots of nice spring plants starting to flower now, despite the inclement weather, pulmonaria, oxlip and drumsticks all showing a glimpse of colour.
Completed my seed sowing list this AM, have an excessive amount of cosmos. Haven't got much room for annuals so most of them are going up the allotment.
My bare rooted rose has arrived from David Austin, trouble is it's raining and blowing a hooley, so l have left it in a bucket of water for the time being. Tomorrow looks a washout as well, so l think it will be Monday before l get it in the ground. Earlier, did a bit of deadheading of the daffodils, seems very early this year.
Well the sun came out here for a few hours,so I managed to do some tidying, and moved a few small rock plants.I got a Thalia fuchsia yesterday in a tiny pot,so that got repotted. It's staying in the porch for now,but I'm sure I've seen a Hardy one somewhere?

Hello , the wind dropped this afternoon , so this afternoon we cut some of the coppiced willow to 6 ft & 4 ft lengths for the allotment and the odd bits for the fire 🔥 Terrible Weather forcast tomorrow
Just been for a quick run to allotment for a damage check all so far OK at the moment we have constant winds of 60mph and have recorded a gust of 91mph in the last hour.
The sea is up beautiful white horses and they have closed the beach road because of flying stones but we still have idiots walking on the pavement.
