Been busy preparing beds for roots and lettuce. All that raking and tramping down, been hard work in the warm sun here today, but at least I've shaken a silly bug I had a week or so back, so onwards and upwards with the veg plot.

Moiz ak  , I would not put fresh wood chipping on to flower 💐 beds either
Let them rot down for a few months and or add to general compost bins
We get them delivered free to allotment site , although it seems to have stopped at moment , I use them on paths
Will do! I actually got it to put down on the path areas between the raised beds but have ended up with quite a bit more than I needed! I guess I'll just have to find somewhere to pile it up for now!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Been scraping the few bits of moss I have out of the lawn and moved a  foxglove.  That's about it for today.  I've spent quite a bit of time reading on a sunbed

Does sitting, staring and thinking about it count?
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

We took advantage of the continuing dry weather. OH painted the shed and I painted a small table and the Arbour in the front garden - good job we had two different colours.
The only bit I couldn't do is the roof on top of the Arbour because I've got a C. rose Claire Austin wired to it and a ceanthos about to bloom leaning over it the other side. Tired now so OH has just given me some pink fizz. Well, it has gone 6 pm.

Transferred clematis into their big pots,  really nerve racking as l have to manoeuvre obelisks into each one. Lost a couple of bits, but the majority seem to have survived. Planted them deeper so if they do give up the ghost they will hopefully shoot again.
Very warm and sunny after a frosty start, had to go round with the watering can.
Dahlias in the greenhouse are starting to shoot.
Never too early for pink fizz @Lizzie27 !
