There are baby hellebores under my extra special Ashwood hybrids.  I am going to pot them up to move them. They may not be as good as the parents , but they stand a chance. I have had one flower from the neon seeds I took three years ago, it has a red back and white inside petals.

Ha Hosta!   Very surprised by who they eliminated this week.

Agree Pdoc - good to have high expectations or we don't advance and yes, he's a monk so can't keep his salary.

Fed up painting so went out to plant the first two roses in the new rose and clems bed which is enough to make me happy and then heard the first cuckoo.  5 days earlier than last year.

Did my good deed of the day and gave new neighbour with an empty garden loads of plants I'd overwintered, Allium 'Christophii', Campanula, Winter Jasmine, Geranium Sanguineum striatum, Veronica, Bearded Iris and 3 pots of Stipa tenuissima.

Since I've been in this house, I've broken up a lot of concrete and dug a lot of masonry, broken paving slabs etc out of the borders.  It's been piling up behind the garage and I've been wondering how to get rid of it, can't take it to the dump as i don't have a vehicle.  Today I freecycled it to a couple who are building raised beds and wanted rubble to put in the bottom.
