Amazing achievement, but it will be a long time before anybody does it in competition.

Rescued a Pale Tussock Moth Caterpillar attempting to cross a busy road.  Quite a stunning little beast.
Using a pedestrian crossing I hope...

I'm going to disagree @KT53. I think that will be done in competition in the next few years. Maybe even the next Olympics  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I actually managed to get the grass cut.  I last cut it about the 8th of September, just before we went on holiday.  There has hardly been a single dry day since we got back, so I chanced it as yesterday was dry and it hadn't rained by lunchtime today.  Normally produces about 2 grass boxes of clippings - today it was 6 and it was like mowing a paddy field, but at least it's done.  This evening is tipping down again.

I gave up feeding sunflower hearts for the summer and just put out the seed mix on the bird table. As a result all the finches left for greener pastures but at least the area under the bird feeder had a chance to recover from being constantly trampled. There has been an abundance of wild food this year so I didn't feel bad. I started feeding again on Sunday and the goldfinches arrived back this morning o:)
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I’ve got a 12lt pedal  bin in my kitchen, just emptied it after 8 days,  trying to cut down on refuse, so quite pleased with that.
