I've just seen a baby robin! Bit wobbly in flight and was very grateful to make it to the lid of the green bin. Don't know where the nest is though.

Not intended to be Dove.  It wasn't nice to see serious fans hopes and dreams being destroyed within a couple of years.  I actually worked in the same building, not for the same company, as the guy who was their chairman.  He gave up the post when they went back to League 2 because he was then slagged off by the fans for not investing enough.

It’s tough isn’t it ... Ipswich have been up and down a few times and going down the Snakes always happens more quickly than climbing up the Ladders and as you say the Chairman is often seen as the problem.
I remember the chairman at Norwich Sir Arthur South some years back being roundly derided by Norwich fans for spending his cash on the stadium and property around it rather than buying in a load of expensive new forwards. Now Norwich are riding high with lots of money to spend because of those investments, whereas Ipswich who had a cabinet full of the best trophies but play at a local authority ground are now facing next season in League 1 😢

Saw Spurs new stadium on TV (Champions League match) - very impressive. @punkdoc , will you be sampling one of those beers where they fill the glass from the bottom up ?

I certainly hope so, maybe more than one. :)

I finally found a replacement Spiraea 'Firelight' after a search in 3 GCs, a little smaller than I wanted but also cheaper. I might actually end up with two as the one I thought had died, seems to be still alive!

My step daughter who is expecting a little girl in July is on holiday with her boyfriend, she texted last night and said he’s proposed, she’s thrilled, but being the cynics that we are, we hope it last longer than the 2 years the last one did.

Hopefully, he is nicer than the first one, we could see it but she was besotted.

When @WonkyWomble was at the besotted stage I poked the young men with sharp sticks and fended them off ... until her Lovely Hub came along. I didn’t mind her being besotted with him ... he’s a good ‘un😉
