I had one of my photographs published in The Observer's New Review today, in the readers' pictures section. The theme for this week is Courage.

The complaint is utterly ridiculous, but I do like the reaction to it.  Read this - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7743403/Mixed-race-ballerina-27-defends-Cats-film-costume-amid-whitewashing-allegations.html

Realised this afternoon I needed more spring bulbs to surround the big fuchsia bush I've just moved, so nipped down to that DIY chain we love to hate, hoping they'd still have some and they'd have reduced the price.  They were half price:  I bought 30 each of tete-a-tete and pheasant eye, 45 each of dwarf iris and anemone de Caen, and 18 pansies at 20p each.  I'm looking forward to planting them tomorrow (it was dark by the time I got them home) and to the sultana scones I'm going to bake afterwards.

That's a good bargain @josusa47. Unfortunately our 'unmentionable' DIY store is about 10 miles away so not really economical to go there just for bulbs.  Anyway, I'm still struggling to find places to plant some!
My RTBC today is that it's been quite a nice day, weatherwise. No frost, warmer than yesterday and sunny. A shame I was shopping not gardening.

I can see snowdrop noses 🌱
  • Me too, @chicky.   :)  I potted up a clump for the move and noticed them this morning - made me smile...

I absolutely love it when you can see the first snowdrops coming up.
