really don't think there is going to be quite the shortages most people envisage!
I doubt there'll be shortages if you're willing to eat seasonally and forego strawberries in Winter (no bad thing, but may come as a shock to many). But prices are likely to go up and there are a lot of people already struggling to afford to eat properly. Food banks are very worried they won't cope if there's no deal.

As Obelixx says, there will be those who will struggle, personally l am of the "wait and see" school of thought. Adapt and survive, and all that. It's like " Will Manchester United win the match this afternoon ?" Nobody knows, we will just have to wait and see !
You sound like that pundit on a recent political programme discussing No Deal. "Yes, we will take a hit". The others rounded on him saying the poor, the unskilled, the people whose jobs depend on Britain being in the EU will take the hit. Not you."

I was thinking more of the short term problems while the food imports rot at the docks awaiting entry clearance. Stuff won't be able to get in from outside the eu either.
What about all those who sell us the lettuce, strawberries etc. Their income will be reduced too so I imagine that there will be a readiness to deal then, trade works both ways.
