BS - you clearly need to make some flapjacks and/or other oatmeal biscuits and/or a chocolate carrot cake and/or a treacle tart which is made with syrup, not treacle.

Yes, but then you'd have to make proper custard. Well I would. No Birds custard or cartons of fresh custard here unless I want very thin "crème anglaise".

Trotters and all. I'm not all that keen on custard and hate cream, but I'd go with a dollop of ice cream - especially if it begins to crystallize the syrup.
Has to be proper custard, not powdered stuff and cream definitely needs some vanilla and sugar unless it's clotted. Proper dairy ice cream is just frozen custard. Honest - unless you like the nasty stuff made with palm oil.
